"Healing is a matter of time, but it is sometimes also a matter of opportunity." - Hippocrates

My name is Lorenzo Singotti, and I am a self-proclaimed Tattooed Therapist!

Let's connect if you're seeking counseling that cuts through the "fluff" and a therapist who embodies sensibility, realism, and down-to-earth guidance. Throughout life's voyage, it's all too common to lose sight of our core selves or the values we once held dear. Every single individual - including you - has experienced wholeness at some point. This realization is crucial because it signifies that, with effort, you can reclaim that sense of completeness. Whether you've encountered significant life events or find yourself entangled in repetitive patterns, which may have been deeply ingrained, remember that healing and transformation aren't always easy. Yet, you need not traverse this path alone. I'm here to accompany you, making this journey toward healing a shared endeavor.

When we collaborate and work together, I'll be your advocate, ally, and enthusiastic supporter. I'm dedicated to creating a safe haven in our therapy room, where judgment has no place, and you never feel diminished. I intend to cultivate safety, provide attentive listening, and validate your experiences within our space. In essence, you'll know that your well-being genuinely matters to me. My therapeutic philosophy hinges on unwavering positive regard and complete acceptance. These principles are what you can expect when working alongside me.

Allow me to clarify: I'm not the therapist who merely echoes your words, nods, and inquires about your emotions on every topic. While these elements might surface occasionally, my primary objective is to actively bolster your healing journey. In pursuit of this, we'll explore innovative coping strategies beyond clichés like "take deep breaths" or "go for a walk." Instead, I'll introduce evidence-based techniques that have been meticulously researched and proven to support your path to healing.

My therapeutic style strikes a balance between directness and gentleness. I'm committed to fostering mutual accountability while providing a compassionate and nurturing environment. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from various theories to empower your healing process. Among these, I'm particularly drawn to cognitive-behavioral, ecological, person-centered, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and yield methodologies.

As for my educational background, I earned a bachelor's degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Scranton and a master's degree in Social Work from Marywood University. I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. My experience spans clients of diverse ages and backgrounds, encompassing outpatient and inpatient settings. Most recently, I have worked with individuals in the military and Veterans in a crisis setting. I have also worked extensively with individuals who struggle with addiction and mental health issues. One of my favorite things to work with clients on is managing adult ADHD. As an adult who was diagnosed with ADHD myself, I have learned through lived experience how to control my ADHD symptoms and thrive, and this is something I really enjoy working with clients on. Moreover, while I work well with clients of many backgrounds and ages, I have been a good fit previously when working with young adults, especially on LGBTQ+ issues and transitions.

On a personal note, I hail from Northeastern Pennsylvania but spent my formative years in Upstate New York. I reside in the Valley with my fiance, son, and beloved golden retriever, Louie. My interests encompass travel, fitness, reading, and the world of tattoos. Additionally, I dabble in amateur writing and culinary arts, considering myself a fledgling writer and chef. On top this, on a more realistic note, you'll find me curled up with Louie playing my Nintendo Switch most Friday nights.

Looking forward to embarking on this healing journey together.
