Amy Avillion, LSW

Amy Avillion, LSW, is a trauma-focused mental health therapist specializing in treating adolescents and adults who have experienced sexual assault, domestic violence, chronic emotional/physical abuse, and many other types of complex trauma. Amy specializes in disorders such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD. Amy is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, extensively trained in Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and is a certified sexual assault and domestic violence counselor.

Amy uses a combination of clinical expertise and a person-focused treatment philosophy to meet each client where they are on their individual journey to healing. She believes that the most effective type of mental health treatment is a collaborative effort between client and therapist, accompanied by a strong and supportive therapeutic relationship. Amy has the ability to consider each individual as a whole person with unique identities and experiences that will inform the treatment process.

In her free time, Amy likes to cook and read. She loves having new experiences and meeting new people through travel, and just as equally loves a good day-long Netflix binge from the comfort of her living
