Alexa Schoenberg Bravis, MS, NCC, LPC
Alexa graduated from Marywood University with a B.S. in Psychology in 2011. In 2014 she earned her M.S. at The University of Scranton in K-12 School Counseling.
Throughout her education she has worked in a variety of different settings that include inpatient care, school-based treatment, and crisis intervention.
Alexa specializes in meeting with adolescents who may be experiencing a multitude of mental health concerns. She has experience with anxiety, depression, grief, attention disorders, behaviors, self- harm, self- esteem, coping skills, domestic violence, divorce, peer relationships, and eating disorders.
Alexa is well-versed in supporting students in need of specialized instruction, those who require educational advocacy for IEPs, and as a college and career counselor.
She brings compassion and support to each client and understands how beneficial a genuine and authentic working relationship between a client and therapist can be.
Alexa focuses on the supportive approach of working as a team with clients towards positive changes, reframing current situations, and when necessary, addressing underlying issues.
With a generally humanistic and solution focused approach, Alexa is kind and inviting, while challenging clients to make the necessary changes towards personal growth and healing.
